In All Things Give Thanks

October was a fantastic month worth celebrating! From capturing your children’s bright smiles on picture day to our exciting field trip to the farm, and the enchanting Book Character Parade that brought beloved stories to life, it was a month packed with joy and learning. As we welcome November, we’re looking forward to a holiday season full of joy, celebrations, and special moments to share with your children.

Weather

Fall is here, and with it comes cooler weather! Please dress your child warmly as we continue to enjoy outdoor activities. Additionally, please send in a labeled bag with an extra pair of gloves and a hat to keep at school. If you haven’t yet updated your child’s extra set of clothes at school, now is a great time!

A big THANK YOU to everyone for diligently monitoring your child’s health and making thoughtful decisions about when to keep them home. Your support helps keep our staff and students healthy! Let’s keep up the good work as we move into the winter months.

Food Drive

This holiday season, we are thrilled to support the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore with a school-wide food drive! Donations will be collected throughout November, and every contribution will help make a difference for families in our community. To add some friendly competition, the class that donates the most items will win a class party! Let’s work together to spread kindness and generosity by filling those donation bins. Thank you for your support and for helping us teach our children the joy of giving back!

Thanksgiving Feast

Our annual Thanksgiving Feast will be held on November 22nd at 12:00 pm. The children will gather to enjoy a "Thanksgiving meal" together and celebrate all we are grateful for. Volunteer sign-ups for bringing items will be posted on your child’s Class Dojo. Tuesday/Thursday students are invited to join the feast with a parent (please bring them with you at 12:00 pm).

Congratulations to Our Book Character Pumpkin Winner!

A big congratulations to our Pre-K class for winning the Book Character Pumpkin Contest! Their creativity and teamwork shone brightly, and they’ll be celebrating their win with a special ice cream party! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make our Book Character Parade and Pumpkin Contest a fun and memorable celebration of creativity and reading!

Farewell to Ms. Ramona and Ms. Luisa

It is with warm hearts and best wishes that we say goodbye to Ms. Ramona and Ms. Luisa. Ms. Ramona has completed her teacher training and will be moving on to focus on her thesis—we are so proud of her achievements and know she will continue to make a wonderful impact in education. Ms. Luisa is embarking on a new chapter as she moves with her family, and we know exciting adventures await her. We will miss them both dearly and are grateful for the care, dedication, and joy they brought to our school community. Wishing them both all the best in the journeys ahead!
