Open House

On Feb 6th from 4:30-6:30pm we will be hosting a drop in Open House for perspective families and those who would like to learn a bit more about their child’s upcoming program.

Are you on the fence about sending your child to private or public school for Kindergarten? This is a great opportunity for all 2020-2021 Kindergarten student families to learn more about what makes our Kindergarten program unique. We will share the comparison of private school education vs. public school education for Kindergarten. Please feel free to pass this info along to others. All are welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!

Valentine’s Day

Each class will have a small Valentine’s Day exchange on February 14th. If you choose to have your child participate, please bring in enough treats for all classmates. You may ask your child’s teacher for a full roster of the class. If your child attends school on T/TH, you may send in valentines on Feb. 13th.  This is a pizza day for students; however, teachers will also create a sign-up sheet for volunteers to send in a treat, valentine’s day paper products, and fruit.

President’s Day

We will be closed for President’s Day on Monday, February 17th

Book Fair

Our annual book fair is right around the corner! Book fair dates will be: February 24th-28th. You may come visit the fair with your child anytime between 7:30-3:30.

You may also shop the fair online! We've teamed up with the popular Scholastic Store online, where customers can shop from over 6,000 educational products, games, and more! Shoppers can take advantage of free standard shipping on book-only orders over $25* and all orders ship wherever you choose, which is great for gifting.

Another exciting benefit – every purchase counts towards our school's Book Fair sales, along with the opportunity for our school to earn rewards all year long.

Shoppers must initially access the Scholastic Store through our school's Book Fair Homepage to ensure our school gets credit for online purchases. From there, shoppers can create an account to save the school in their profile for future purchases. To browse and shop online, search for ‘Rollingwood Academy’ at scholastic.com/fair.

Please Keep Sick Children at Home

To prevent widespread illness in our school, we ask that your child please stay home from school if experiencing any of the following symptoms:

Fever of 100 degrees or more. Children should stay home until the fever has been gone for 24 hours without fever reducing medication.

Vomiting or severe diarrhea. Children should stay home until symptoms have been gone for 24 hours.

Severe cold. A little sniffle is not a reason to stay home, but a severe cold or influenza is.

Also please remind your children the importance of covering their mouths when sneezing or coughing & washing their hands thoroughly throughout the day. It is important for your child’s health and the health of his/her classmates.

Re-enrollment forms

Last reminder that enrollment forms for the 2020-2021 school year are due. Please return the form and deposit if you have not already done so in order to secure a spot for your child in the upcoming school year. Enrollment has been opened up to the public today and spaces are filling up quickly. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to administration.

Summer Camp

If you are interested in your child attending summer camp this summer, we are considering offering two, one-week sessions. Session one will be held during the week of June 1st - 5th and session two will be held during the week of June 8th – June 12th. Each week there will be a theme incorporating science, art, and outdoor fun. You may sign your child up for either session, or both. Incoming students for the upcoming school year may also attend. Sign-ups will be available at our Open House on Feb. 6th. We will make a final decision on whether or not we will offer this program on February 14th.

ART with HEART by Amanda Kingloff of Project Kid

Spend an afternoon making these valentine projects with your littles. Then with a few snips and some glue, turn them into one-of-a-kind valentines for the whole class!
